WAGE & BENEFITS: This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. The hourly wage range is $17.00 - $20.00, negotiable

JOB DESCRIPTION
The University YMCA seeks a mission-driven professional to develop and implement outreach programs for immigrant
communities served by NAWC. The Outreach Worker will be responsible for connecting with local immigrant communities and
equipping emerging leaders. They will work closely with the Community Outreach Manager and NAWC staff.
REQUIREMENTS
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
● Native fluency, written and oral, is required in one of the following languages: Spanish, Chinese, Korean, or Hindi
● Ability to work a flexible schedule at times, including some evenings and weekends
● Valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Build and maintain trusting relationships with underserved communities by providing frequent face-to-face opportunities
to meet where community members live, work, and spend time
● Build and maintain trusting relationships with community organizations, leaders, and partners who are immersed and
involved in the Champaign County immigrant community
● Identify barriers and enact strategies to overcome access to community resources and civic engagement opportunities for
the immigrant community
● Contribute to outreach and education programs and advocate for the rights of immigrants
● Work with NAWC staff and volunteers to provide seamless and effective continuity of service for program participants
● Perform other duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION
The University YMCA seeks a mission-driven professional to provide coordination for the NAWC grants portfolio. The Grants
Coordinator will research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals/reports that meet funder guidelines and criteria. The
Grants Coordinator will serve as NAWC’s primary grant writer, cultivate funder relationships, engage in compliance reporting, and
support special project initiatives. The Grants Coordinator will work closely with the NAWC Director and department heads to
capture program narratives and metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
● Fluency, written and oral, in English and Spanish and/or English and French is preferred
● Ability to work a flexible schedule at times, including some evenings and weekends
● Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to
convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead grant proposal development and submission—preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and
monitoring grant applications,
● Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement—taking responsibility for meeting high
standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness
● Research statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy
● Coordinate Salesforce training and data management for NAWC staff to ensure clean and accurate records
● Perform other duties as assigned

The University YMCA seeks a mission-driven professional to provide direct immigration legal services and assistance for NAWC clients.
The paralegal will be responsible for completing client intake, providing immigration legal consultations, and preparing cases for
submission to USCIS. They will work closely with the Legal Services Manager and the NAWC team to ensure the timely delivery of
high-quality immigration legal services to local immigrant communities. The paralegal will also receive training for DOJ partial
accreditation through the University YMCA.
REQUIREMENTS
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
● Fluency, written and oral, in English and Spanish and/or English and French is highly desired
● Ability to work a flexible schedule at times, including some evenings and weekends

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Attend training and perform tasks within ILC’s DOJ Guidelines to prepare to for DOJ partial accreditation
● Assist DOJ representatives with ongoing casework, forms, statements, cover letters, and client follow-up to ensure immigration
cases are prepared and filed in a timely manner and client receives high-quality services
● Maintain complete and accurate client records
● Once accredited, represent clients before USCIS
● Contribute to outreach and education programs related to immigration law and advocate for the rights of immigrants
● Work with NAWC staff and volunteers to provide seamless and effective continuity of service for all clients
● Perform other duties as assigned

clients. The Case Worker will be responsible for providing application assistance, referrals, and follow up to clients. They will work
closely with the Director of Programs and the NAWC team to ensure continuity of services and goal achievement for clients.
REQUIREMENTS
● Bilingual in Spanish and English
● Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field; or at least two years of relevant work experience
● Some evening or weekend work will be required
● Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist clients by filling out public benefits applications and facilitating follow-up with the IL Dept. of Human Services
● Conduct case management and referrals for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking NAWC clients
● Track client data accurately and precisely with attention to detail
● Create action plans directly with clients for the goals that they would like to achieve
● Work with NAWC staff and volunteers to provide seamless and effective continuity of service for all clients
● Stay up to date with policy and program changes affecting state public benefits
● Develop robust understanding of other human services organizations and safety net programs in Champaign County
● Perform other duties as assigned
