Program Content Developer for Immersive Education Academy in Hong Kong, China
Mentor: Octavian Cheung, LAS '09
(10-15 hours per week for 8-32 weeks)

About the organization: Immersive Education Academy (iEd) is an education technology company based in Hong Kong. We develop online and blended learning platform infrastructures and content solutions for ESL and general education subjects. We mainly work with K-12, higher educations and government institutions in different parts of Asia.

About the internship: Interns will be engaged in an education project focusing on task-oriented learning situations. Interns will interact with and train AI learning models in various simulations. Interns will assist with trial testing and result tracking. They will also help generate training material and simulation content for testing purposes. Additional responsibilities include: Assisting the development team to develop new content. Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies. Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability. Assisting to improve the user experience.

Organizational Impact: Student work will be used to improve the performance of our learning technology and the results will be used in part of an internal research study tracking student learning outcomes.

Required background: Accepting applications for 2-3 undergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or graduate students. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Logical and analytical thinking process Creative problem-solving skills Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment Ability to meet deadlines.

Marketing Assistant for Immersive Education Academy in Hong Kong, China

About the internship: Interns will be assisting with the creation of multimedia content for different training programs. They will work with other team members and assist with the organization of various training processes for different programs and create multimedia content for the program orientations. Interns will need to create and edit videos, animations, pictures, booklets or any other media content needed for the project.

Required background: An undergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or graduate student. Marketing & Communications Intern for Chosen Art in Shanghai, China
Mentor: Vicky Tian, Gies '07
(5-10 hours per week for 8 weeks with the option to continue during the 2021-2022 academic year)

About the organization: CHOSEN ART is an advocator of creative talent development with an international vision. We integrate cross-over knowledge and provide creative social application channels for young talents. Inspired by contemporary art spirit, CHOSEN ART empowers artistically gifted kids via integrated art education methodology to ignite their natural capability of creation, cross-over collaboration, and self-expression. We provide a systematic art education path from basic learning, project-based learning & social application. We are continuously creating project-based and cross-subject art courses, along with youth comics club and family events to build up a dynamic creativity education ecology.

About the internship: Assist the academic director to design, test and develop the structure of the club, including but not limited to the target participants and readers, content planning for publishment, publish platform setup, etc. Yes, you could be the RULE MAKER! Research and propose fun and effective ways to develop funs of the club. Yes, it has to be FUN! Propose FUN topics for CHOSEN OpenTalk: bi-weekly online-offline sharing events where students, parents, and special speakers can get together to talk about fantastic comics from a unique angle or other related topics. Yes, it has to be FUN again and you can be the speaker as well! Prepare marketing materials and summaries for OpenTalk & Comic Club activities. And help to spread the word for our young artists! 

Required background:  Chinese fluency is a must (read and write). Entrepreneur spirited a must. Familiar with major Chinese multi-media. Good at editing digital marketing materials, including but not limited to poster design, video editing, etc. Comics fan preferred. Knowledge about comics around the world a big plus. Comics club KOL/ critics writer/ illustrative art experience a big plus. Good experience in organizing online / offline events, student clubs, or online fan groups. Initiative, creative, open-minded, curious, and responsive. No major limitation as we have no limitation on knowledge!
