Primary Position Function/Summary:

To provide programmatic support for the Global Leaders Program (GLP) and instructional support for LAS 100 (F20) and LAS 399 (SP21) courses administered through the Student Academic Affairs Office within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS). The TA will assist with the preparation and implementation of the pilot launch of GLP. GLP aims to integrate domestic and international students through local and global community engagement and project-based learning. The TA will also provide instructional support for the above courses by conducting research and assisting with classroom facilitation.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop course materials related to social injustice, design thinking/innovation, critical global studies, intercultural competency, etc.
  • Research potential partner local and global organizations and mentors for GLP.
  • Coordinate and communicate with community organizations and mentors for GLP.
  • Assist with the recruitment and coordination of facilitators/instructors for GLP workshops.
  • Assist with event planning for students’ final presentations.
  • Assist with program evaluation development and administration for GLP.
  • Develop interactive activities for LAS 100 and LAS 399.
  • Support classroom instruction and facilitate group discussions.
