Application

CEAPS is pleased to announce a new travel grant program for graduate students at UIUC. The CEAPS Graduate Student Travel Grant provides travel awards for graduate students to present papers at professional conferences or to conduct dissertation research in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the greater Pacific region. 

• Conference Travel: Up to 3 awards ranging from $200 to $800 will be awarded per semester. Paper acceptance at the time of application is required.
• Dissertation Research Travel: Up to 3 awards ranging from $500 to $1,500 will be awarded per semester to doctoral students conducting fieldwork research in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the greater Pacific region for periods up to 12 months.

Applications are reviewed and approved semi-annually by the CEAPS Advisory Board. The submission deadline for the Spring 2020 competition is Friday, February 7, 2020. See CEAPS website for more information.
